Deadline reports that Universal Pictures is finally moving forward with the long-in-development Jurassic Park 4. The new dino movie will be written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, the screenwriting duo behind Rise of the Planet of the Apes, but no plot details have broken out. Steven Spielberg will serve as producer, but he’s not expected to direct.

There’s no word yet on when audiences can expect to be eaten alive by Jurassic Park 4. If you need something to sink your teeth into, the original Jurassic Park is being genetically modified into eye-popping 3D, and will find a way to theatres on July 19, 2013. That’s twenty years after it first chewed up theatres.
