ORIGINAL STORY:

The CW has announced that the live-action TV series based on the DC superhero Green Arrow will premiere this fall in the Wednesday 8pm time slot. The show, simply titled Arrow, is billed as a replacement for Smallville, another heroic CW series. It’s being produced by Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim, two of the screenwriters behind the recent DC movie Green Lantern.

With the success of The Avengers, lets keep our fingers crossed that Green Arrow will join forces with Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, and other DC superheroes in a Justice League movie in the not too distant future. A geek can dream.
